Customer Reviews
Good food for my dog
So I got the personalized food for my dog, tried the beef and lentil one. My dog seemed to really like it, ate it all up super fast. The portions were easy, just pulled them out of the freezer. It was pretty simple to set up the plan online. Overall, a good experience, might stick with it.
Decent value, slight shipping delay
I ordered the personalized meal plan, focusing on the pork and potato recipe. My dog enjoyed the food, and the pre-portioned trays were very convenient. The packaging was good, kept everything frozen. However, shipping took 6 days to get to Chicago, which was a bit longer than I expected. Customer service was helpful when I inquired, but a faster delivery would make it perfect.
Smooth process, quality product
I signed up for the personalized subscription after my vet recommended fresh food for my dog's sensitive digestion. The onboarding quiz was straightforward, asking about my dog's breed, weight, and activity level to create the plan. I chose the cod and chickpea recipe. The first box arrived well-packaged in an insulated cooler with dry ice, keeping the food perfectly frozen. It reached my doorstep in Texas in 5 days. My dog transitioned to the new food without any issues and seems to enjoy meal times more now. The portion sizes were accurate based on the plan. I also got a personalized bowl with the first order, which was a nice touch.
Easy and my dog liked it
Ordered the trial kit. My dog ate the fresh food right away. Portions were clear. Delivery was quick. Happy with the purchase.
Reliable fresh food
This was my third order from Dog Heroes for the personalized meal plan. My dog loves the turkey and zucchini recipe. The delivery was consistent again, took 4 days to reach me in Florida, same as before. Good to know I can count on them for fresh food every time. No issues.
Worth it for the price
I was looking for something better than kibble without breaking the bank, so I tried Dog Heroes when I saw the 50% off first box offer. I got the personalized plan with the horse and carrot recipe. It felt like a good deal, especially for fresh food. My dog liked it, and the servings were simple to manage. Definitely felt like I got good value for what I paid.

Planning to try Dog Heroes but I'm worried about freezer space. How much room do these trays actually take up? I've got a small freezer.
Does Dog Heroes deliver all over Italy? I'm in a smaller town in the south and sometimes places don't ship here.
Thinking of trying the trial box. Is there always a 50% off code for new customers or do I need to hunt one down?
How easy is it to cancel the subscription if my dog doesn't like it or if it's too expensive after the first month? Don't want to get locked in.
Hey, wondering if anyone's tried Dog Heroes for their dog with allergies? My pup gets super itchy with most foods, curious if this fresh stuff is actually hypoallergenic like they say.
